Developing Teaching Skills through the Independent MBKM Internship at Bali Japan International College
Let me introduce myself, my name is I Putu Agus Yoga Ambara Putra, a student of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Udayana University, who is currently participating in the MBKM Independent Internship Program at Bali Japan International College. Personally, I have gained a great deal of insight from this Independent Internship Program.
During my participation in the MBKM Independent Internship Program at Bali Japan International College, I have gained many valuable experiences, especially in the field of teaching Japanese. This internship program has given me the opportunity to be directly involved in the learning process, starting from preparing teaching materials, teaching in class, to interacting with students. Through this experience, I learned not only theory but also real practice as a teacher.
This Independent Internship Program has also helped me understand the world of education more deeply. I learned how to design interesting teaching methods, adjust materials to students’ abilities, and create a comfortable learning atmosphere. Guidance from the mentors at Bali Japan International College greatly helped me develop my teaching skills and increase my confidence in front of the class.
I felt a significant change after joining this program. My communication skills improved, especially in explaining Japanese language materials in a way that is easy to understand. In addition, I also learned how to manage the classroom, deal with students with diverse characters, and train patience and responsibility as an educator.
During the internship, I also gained a lot of knowledge and guidance from the teachers at Bali Japan International College. They provided examples of effective teaching methods, ways to handle students who have learning difficulties, and how to become a professional and dedicated teacher. This guidance was very meaningful for the development of my teaching abilities.
The opportunity to take part in this MBKM Independent Internship Program has been a very valuable experience for me, as it has brought me closer to my dream of building a career in education, especially as a Japanese language teacher. Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all parties who have supported and made this MBKM Independent Internship Program a success, especially Bali Japan International College and Udayana University. Hopefully, this program will continue to be implemented and developed so that it can provide even greater benefits for students in the future.
