KPSJI National Coordination Meeting 2026 Strengthens Study Program Quality, Organizational Governance, and Leadership Regeneration
Depok, August 22, 2026 — The Consortium of Indonesian Japanese Study Programs (Konsorsium Program Studi Jepang Indonesia / KPSJI) held its 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) on August 21–22, 2026, at Savero Hotel, Depok. The event served as a national coordination forum for KPSJI member study programs to discuss the enhancement of academic quality, organizational governance, and leadership sustainability.
The 2026 Rakornas carried the theme "Strengthening Consortium Governance and Improving the Quality of Japanese Study Programs through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curricula and LAM Accreditation." On the first day, Friday (21/8), discussions focused on OBE curricula and LAM accreditation through socialization on the LAM-HUM accreditation system and sharing best practices in OBE implementation.
The second day, Saturday (22/8), was dedicated to strengthening KPSJI's organizational governance. Agenda items included discussing amendments to KPSJI's Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), presenting the accountability report of the 2024–2026 KPSJI Executive Board, and electing the KPSJI General Chairperson for the 2027–2029 period.
Five Selected Regional Coordinators
A key element in strengthening governance was the appointment of Regional Coordinators (Korwil) for 2026–2028:
1. Sumatra: Dra. Dewi Kania Izmayanti, M.Hum. – Bung Hatta University
2. Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek): Julita Fahrul Rochim, M.Pd., M.Sc. – Takumi Polytechnic
3. West Java: Amaliatun Saleha, S.S., M.Si., Ph.D. – Padjadjaran University
4. Central Java–DIY: Dr. Akhmad Saifudin, S.S., M.Si. – Dian Nuswantoro University
5. East Java–Bali–Sulawesi: Dr. Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M.Hum. – Udayana University
The five regional coordinators presented their vision and mission statements as part of the election process for the KPSJI General Chairperson (2027–2029), allowing each region to outline their strategic direction and commitment to KPSJI.
Dr. Akhmad Saifudin Elected General Chairperson for 2027–2029
Following the presentations, participants cast their votes. Dr. Akhmad Saifudin, S.S., M.Si. from Dian Nuswantoro University secured the majority vote and was elected General Chairperson for the 2027–2029 term.
His election marks a smooth leadership transition and reinforces democratic, transparent, and participatory governance within KPSJI. The meeting concluded by establishing a foundation for the incoming board, recommending AD/ART refinements, and laying the groundwork for stronger collaboration across Japanese study programs in Indonesia.
