My Experience in the MBKM Internship Program at ARTOTEL Sanur Bali
I, Embun Riani Putri Arlian Kuning, a student of the Japanese Literature Study Program, participated in the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program through an internship at ARTOTEL Sanur Bali. This MBKM activity was conducted as an internship in the Food and Beverage Service division, which focuses on providing food and beverage services to hotel guests.
During the MBKM program, I gained direct work experience in the hospitality industry. My activities included preparing the service area before operational hours, assisting guests during service hours, and arranging the service area after operations ended. Through these activities, I learned about service standards, work ethics, discipline, and the importance of teamwork in a professional working environment.
The benefits I gained from this MBKM program were significant. In addition to obtaining real work experience, I was able to develop my communication skills, sense of responsibility, and professional attitude. Interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds also helped improve my confidence and adaptability in the workplace.
Personally, this MBKM experience left a very positive impression on me. I was able to understand how the professional world operates and learn from real workplace challenges. This MBKM program has become a valuable experience that will support my future career preparation. I hope that the MBKM program will continue to be implemented and provide broader benefits for students.
