Benkyoukai Akademik II Successfully Increases Students' Learning and Teaching Interest

After the last even semester was successfully held for the first time, Benkyoukai Akademik was successfully completed this odd semester with various improvements. Benkyoukai Akademik II 2021 is held for 3 months, starting from October to December, with a total of 10 students as a teacher and each teacher handles two participants. Activities are carried out online using applications such as Webex and Google Meet. The teacher provides teaching in the form of lecture materials, especially Japanese characters, namely hiragana and katakana, as well as basic Japanese patterns to the participants.

In this second period, Benkyoukai Akademik focuses its teaching targets on 1st semester students who find it difficult to study in online lectures. It is undeniable, according to participants, that understanding online teaching and learning activities does require a higher focus and understanding than offline so they need additional guidance from senior semester students who are also willing to spend their time.

Benkyoukai Akademik II is chaired by Risma Paramawati. According to her, "Based on the monthly report written by the teacher, the progress of the participants' abilities seems to be increasing. Participants are already able to read Japanese hiragana and katakana characters and have also begun to deepen their learning of language pattern material. At first, some participants still had difficulties in reading Japanese characters, especially katakana. But thanks to the teacher who always helps to teach in detail, now the participants are able to read and write in Japanese characters."

Risma also expressed her great hope that the Benkyoukai Akademik would be held again in 2022 because the benefits and assistance have actually been realized for students. (nr)
