Experience Of Independent Internship Program at UPTD. Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali
My name is Kadek Adera Calista Alvenda, and I am a 7th semester student at Udayana University, majoring in Japanese Literature. I decided to join the independent internship program offered by the Faculty of Cultural Sciences in the 7th semester. In the program there are several choices of agencies offered, one of which is an internship at the Bali Provincial Cultural Office and the agency is the place that I am most interested in. Students who choose the Provincial Culture Office are broken down into several places such as UPTD. Monument to the Struggle of the Balinese People, Bali Museum, Art Center, and others. Then I decided to choose UPTD. Monument to the Struggle of the Balinese People. The reason I decided to take part in this independent internship program in 7th semester was to gain learning experience outside the campus. Then, I want to feel how to work, especially in an official agency. In addition, the reason I chosed the independent internship program was that I had not previously had the opportunity for other MBKM programs, so that it increased my determination to take part in the independent internship program in 7th semester.
This independent internship program lasts for approximately 3 months. The working days and hours are Monday-Friday at 08.30-15.30. I was assigned to the diorama section. So, the work that I did was helping tourists who wanted to ask about dioramas, monuments, and others. In addition, I also helped one of the workers at UPTD. Monument of the Balinese People's Struggle in processing ticket data in excel application. There were several events held during the program activities, namely there were seminars attended by students from various universities and exhibitions of prehistoric humans. During these activities, I assisted in administering the attendance list of participants and helped in organizing the consumption at the event.
There are so many benefits that I got through the independent internship program at UPTD. Monument to the Struggle of the Balinese People. I got to know how it feels to work in the real workplace. I also learned how to manage my time properly. I also learned to interact with many guests, from local guests to international guests. I am very grateful to be able to participate in this program and of course I highly recommend other friends to study outside the campus and get useful and fun experiences.
