Independent Study UIUX at GreatEdu

My name is Muhammad Rafi Putra Mahisa, and I am a fourth-year student at Udayana University. In the seventh semester, I enrolled in the Independent Learning Program. This program offers various online classes tailored to students' interests. After approximately one month of registration, I received an acceptance letter confirming my status as a participant in the UIUX boot camp at GreatEdu. I was thrilled upon receiving this notification.

This year's Independent Study UIUX at GreatEdu explores global environmental issues and integrates them with UIUX principles. The activities are conducted online, allowing me to learn from anywhere and at any time.

The program not only provides a deep understanding of global environmental issues but also links them to the UIUX world. I can directly apply these concepts in developing products or services that focus on excellent user experiences.

Throughout the MBKM program, I engaged in a series of activities, including a national onboarding, understanding global environmental issues, and learning the process of creating a digital product. In the Final Project, I played the role of a UX researcher responsible for investigating current user needs and experiences to identify areas for improvement and guide more effective and satisfying designs. The collected data was utilized to create an affinity diagram, user persona, and user journey map.

During the learning process, I experienced the importance of the relationship between UIUX design and global environmental issues. The affinity diagram helped me organize user findings into patterns that could be interpreted more effectively. Creating a user persona and user journey map provided a comprehensive view of user needs and experiences, guiding the next steps in the design process.

The conclusion drawn from this program is that UIUX has the potential to be an innovative solution in addressing global environmental issues. I feel trained and ready to apply the knowledge I gained to make a positive contribution to the design world and help address global environmental challenges.

With various challenges and lessons learned, I am confident that the Independent Study UIUX at GreatEdu has equipped me with the skills and understanding needed to be a competitive UIUX practitioner in the future. I hope to continue applying and sharing this knowledge to create designs that have a positive impact.
