Japanese Literature Udayana University Ends 2021 with Kindness in Social Service to the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage

    Tuesday (28/12), is the long-awaited day for lecturers and students of Udayana University's Japanese Literature Study Program. The reason is, after several weeks of collecting donations through lecturers and student associations, finally today the collected donations are ready to be delivered to the Tat Twam Asi orphanage.

    Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Japanese Literature Study Program community at Udayana University, donations were collected in various categories, namely decent clothes, stationery, books, household furniture, and cash. Arriving at the location, the group of Udayana University's Japanese Literature Study Program consisting of lecturers and several students were warmly welcomed by the children and representatives of the Tat Twam Asi orphanage. The Coordinator of the Japanese Literature Study Program, Indra Pradhana hopes that the small things that have been donated can benefit the children in the orphanage.


    “We really hope that what we provide is useful. This is the closing activity of the year in the Japanese Literature Study Program. We are here to try to share with the children in the orphanage and hope that they remain excited to face a brighter future,” he continued.

    While explaining further about the current condition of the children being cared for by the orphanage, the Tat Twam Asi orphanage also expressed deep gratitude for the help. The orphanage children also participated in expressing their gratitude.


    This visit closed the end of the year of the Japanese Literature Study Program in a more useful way and raised a lot of hope for others. It is hoped that this social service can bring the Japanese Literature Study Program and the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage to a bright future in 2022 and can continue to be held annually with a wider scope.
