KAMPUS MENGAJAR PROGRAM BATCH 8 SDN 1 SESETAN
This program has been an unforgettable experience for me. I learned and gained so much, all of which will undoubtedly be beneficial for my future.
Before I embarked on my Kampus Mengajar journey, I initially chose the Certified Internship Program. My reason was the same I wanted to gain new experiences. However, at the time, I was serving as a committee member for the detranskap D'JaFu event, which made it impossible for me to take on the Certified Internship Program. Balancing both responsibilities would have disrupted my committee work. Eventually, I decided to join the Kampus Mengajar program with my friends.
Registering for Kampus Mengajar was a bit complicated but manageable, especially since the process ahead required a lot of organization and effort. The program was carried out in groups, which made even the most challenging tasks easier when done together.
When we began the program at the school, it was surprising to discover that some children, particularly in the first grade, were unable to read or write. Additionally, my friends and I found that some students were still struggling with basic multiplication. Throughout the program, we implemented work plans that we had discussed with the teachers at the school.
The work plans my friends and I developed helped foster creativity, teamwork, and mutual understanding. We hoped that these initiatives would also benefit the students by motivating and encouraging them to learn.
In short, my friends and I were quite happy with the Kampus Mengajar activities. Not only did we gain new friends, but we also became more familiar with one another. Another reason we enjoyed the program was because it provided BBH (Living Cost Allowance), which we fondly referred to as a "salary." Additionally, students who complete the Kampus Mengajar program are exempt from participating in KKN (Community Service). These factors were motivating, even though we occasionally faced discomfort due to the varying personalities of the students and certain challenges with some teachers.
Despite these challenges, I felt immense joy in being able to contribute my best efforts to improve the quality of education, which continually adapts to curriculum changes. I was happy to support the students and hoped that they would feel more motivated to learn and achieve their individual successes.
I believe this program is essential not only because it offers students new experiences but also because it contributes significantly to improving the quality of education, which greatly impacts the future achievements of all students.
