KANKO NIHONGO PRACTITIONER LECTURE, HOTEL STAFF, AND TOUR TRAVEL

 On October 12th 2022 at 13.00-14.40 wita. Mk Kanko Nihongo, Hotel Staff, and Tour Travel in semesters 5 and 7 which were taught by Ni Putu Candra Lestari, S.S., M.Hum., Ni Made Andry Anita Dewi, S.S., M.Hum. and Ni Luh Putu Ari Sulatri, S.S.,M.Sc. Has held a Practitioner Lecture which was attended by 118 students.


This practitioner's lecture was delivered by Luh Putu Asti Rupini, S.S, a person from Buleleng, Bali who is an alumni of the Udayana Japanese Literature study program. Which is now working as a Front Desk Staff at a famous five-star hotel in Tokyo, Japan, namely Hotel Hilton Tokyo. The resource persons were invited to share their experiences in carrying out their careers in five-star hotels in Japan. Prior to working in Japan, the informant had worked in the tourism sector such as tour travel agencies, hotels and villas in Bali.


The material in this practitioner's lecture is about the introduction of jobs in the tourism sector, especially about hospitality jobs in Japan. The narrator told about how to find a job in Japan, then introduced the duties of a hotel employee in Japan.


Based on the experience of the informant who has worked in hotels in Bali and hotels in Japan, the narsum tells the difference in the work atmosphere between in Bali and in Japan. In addition, the informant explained the organization, division of work, and tasks performed as employees in Japanese hotels.


"All work must be completed with a high level of discipline, responsibility, by applying the Horenso principle, namely the acronym of Hokoku (reporting), Renraku (communicating to related parties, Sodan (consulting superiors), besides that we must also have the desire to continue study and perseverance if you want to pursue a career in Japan”, explained the source.



This lecture received quite high attention from students and other lecturers. Many questions were asked regarding tips on surviving in the world of work in Japan, preparation for work in Japan, and interesting experiences when dealing with international guests in Japan.
