MBKM: Independent School Export Batch 5
My name is Ni Putu Widya Yohana Wijaya, a seventh-semester student majoring in Japanese Literature at Udayana University. In this seventh semester, I enrolled in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, commonly known as MBKM, specifically in the Internship and Certified Independent Study Program or Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB). This program offers various online classes for students based on their interests. After approximately a month of registration, I received an acceptance letter confirming my status as a student who successfully joined the Independent Study at the Export School Batch 5. I was overjoyed upon receiving this notification. Therefore, this time, I would like to share the interesting experiences I had during my Independent Study program at the Export School. My decision to apply to the Export School has truly been an extraordinary step for me, and I'm delighted to share this story.
This year, the Independent Study program at the Export School adopts the theme "Be a Digital Exporter," focusing on the significance of digital transformation in the export world. This refers to an approach that combines digital technology, online platforms, and marketing strategies to enhance and simplify the process of exporting products or services. The theme reflects changes in the international business landscape, where technology becomes the key to reaching global markets more efficiently and effectively. These program are conducted online, allowing me to learn from anywhere and at any time.
The learning atmosphere at the Export School is incredibly enjoyable. Despite coming from different majors, us, the students, are united by the enthusiasm for learning about the world of exports. Positive interactions among students make the learning process more enjoyable and provide unforgettable learning experiences. Additionally, the benefits I gained after studying at the Export School are truly remarkable. Apart from gaining a deep understanding of the export process, I also expanded my social network. Gathering with mentors, practitioners, and export industry experts provided valuable insights and helped me understand the developments in the working world beyond academic theory.
During the MBKM program, I was involved in various activities. The activities I participated in included researching export products, creating brands, planning digital marketing strategies, and understanding documents for the export process to become a proficient digital exporter. Equally important, while studying at the Export School, I was not only taught the technical aspects of export but also gained a deep understanding of self-management and leadership skills, such as time management and effective communication. I feel more prepared to face challenges in the professional world, not only in terms of knowledge but also in terms of skills and attitude. Finally, I want to express high appreciation to the teaching team at the Export School. They are not just knowledgeable instructors but also caring mentors who are concerned about the development of each student. Their support has been a strong foundation in my learning journey, and I feel fortunate to receive guidance from them.
Overall, the learning experience at the Export School has opened new doors in my educational journey. I feel more prepared to face future challenges, equipped with profound knowledge, a broad network, and skills necessary in the world of exports. I believe that this program provides valuable knowledge and skills for the future, especially in dealing with an increasingly digital and globally connected business environment. Through the MBKM Independent Study program at the Export School, I have gained valuable experience that not only sharpens my knowledge in digital exports but also equips me with skills applicable in the future workplace. Hopefully, this story can be an inspiration for you who are seeking a different and beneficial learning experience.
