MBKM TEACHING CAMPUS-8
I, Sovia Pransiska Sihombing, a student of Udayana University majoring in Japanese Literature, am very proud to have been part of the Kampus Mengajar Program, one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiatives. This program provides an extraordinary experience that is not only challenging, but also provides me with many valuable lessons.
Since the early stages, this program has been full of challenges. We have to go through a selection process that involves exams, self-reporting, preparing work programs that will be implemented at school, and compiling reports routinely every month. All of this requires commitment, discipline, and good time management skills.
The benefits that I felt during this program are very diverse. I can develop soft skills and hard skills, become more courageous in appearing in public, and be able to solve problems effectively. In addition, this program provides an opportunity to meet new friends, gain experience, and expand knowledge. However, I also felt some shortcomings during the program. One of them is the uneven division of groups in each placement school, which sometimes makes the workload unbalanced. In addition, assignments given to Kampus Mengajar students often have sudden deadlines, thus requiring high adaptability.
Despite these shortcomings, I am very proud to have been a teacher partner in this program. Through Kampus Mengajar, I gained in-depth insight into the education system in Indonesia, especially regarding the curriculum that still needs more attention. I realized that many students who experience delays in the learning process, still continue to the next grade level. In addition, I also see the importance of equality in providing religious learning in schools.
The Kampus Mengajar Program has given me the opportunity to make a real contribution to the world of education, while also learning from the various challenges that exist. I hope this program will continue to grow and have a greater impact on education in Indonesia.
As a complement to this testimony, here are some documentation photos during the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar Program, which depict various activities and valuable moments that I experienced with students, teachers, and fellow students. These photos are expected to provide a real picture of my journey and experiences during this program.
