MSIB 8 at LaCorre Export School
I am Widya Astuti, a student of the Japanese Literature program, class of 2022. I am participating in the MSIB program (Certified Internship and Independent Study Program) batch 8 in 2024. After participating in the MSIB program, I gained a lot of valuable experiences. One of them is that I was able to directly dive into the professional world with various real projects, not just theoretical knowledge from campus. This practical experience helped me understand what daily work in the industry I’m interested in looks like.
Additionally, I was able to develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are very important in the professional world. The most memorable part was the opportunity to learn from mentors who are already experienced in their fields, providing new insights and opening many opportunities. MSIB also helped me build connections with various companies and professionals, which will definitely be helpful when I’m looking for a job later. This program really prepared me to face the challenges of the workforce after graduation.
My experience at the LaCorre Export School opened my horizons. There, I learned a lot about the export-import world, which I had only known briefly before. The materials provided were very practical, ranging from how to prepare export documents, how to find international markets, to marketing strategies for products to be exported. In addition, I was also taught how to negotiate with overseas clients and understand the regulations that apply in different countries. This program has been very helpful in preparing myself if I’m interested in entering the export industry in the future. The connections I made are also very useful, as they can open opportunities for collaboration or finding more information about export.
After attending the LaCorre Export School, I feel that the experience gained is very valuable. Here, I not only learned the theory of exports but was also taught practical techniques that can be directly applied. For example, how to develop the right export strategy, getting to know the various documents needed, and how to assess international markets. There were also simulation sessions that trained me to negotiate with potential buyers or business partners from abroad. The most noticeable thing is that I became more confident because I now have a clear picture of the export process from start to finish. This program opened many opportunities and networks that can be beneficial for my career in the future, especially if I’m interested in developing international business.
