MSIB internship at PT. BTPN SYARIAH

My name is Ni Wayan Anggraeni, a fourth year student at Udayana University. At the beginning of semester 7 I took part in an MSIB internship at PT. BTPN SYARIAH. This program offers students to take part in internship activities for 5 months. In this program I got a position as an Assistant Facilitator in Donomulyo District, Malang, East Java. This program provides assistance to BTPN Syariah customers, namely women/mothers from productive underprivileged communities/ultra-micro actors, in empowerment activities and increasing customers' entrepreneurial capacity and skills in running their businesses. The Individual Mentoring Program has more specific depth of material and more intensive mechanisms. This program is divided into two programs, namely, inspirational customer assistance and Bestee assistance. The inspirational customer assistance program is carried out by #bankirpemberdaya for inspirational customers. The activities carried out are in line with the financial package provided by BTPN Syariah, in the form of entrepreneurial assistance aimed at improving customers' businesses. The Bestee program is a mentoring program that is integrated with a platform where mentoring activities are carried out by students with material tailored to customer needs. This program collaborates with third parties, such as non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and other institutions that have the same vision and mission.

Assistance activities for customers are carried out with 4 meetings in each session. At the first meeting, an introduction and assessment will be carried out, after which the facilitator will continue by making a SWOT analysis of the customer's business. At the second meeting the facilitator provided material according to the customer's needs. At the third meeting, the facilitator practiced the material that had been provided previously. At the fourth meeting, the facilitator reviews the practices provided and closes. At each meeting the facilitator will make a before-after which is the development of the customer's business from each meeting held.

Empowering female customers at BTPN Syariah which is carried out through assistance in the Bestee program can effectively influence the development of MSME customers. This can be seen from the progress seen after providing assistance. Accompanied customers gain new knowledge about the importance of business digitalization, business identity, branding, and promotional methods that can have a positive impact on the business they run. Through this assistance, the facilitator also gets positive benefits, starting from knowing the condition of MSMEs in the Donomulyo area, Malang, to gaining knowledge about the businesses run by the customers who have been accompanied, and many other positive things.

By undergoing this program, I gained skills that I feel are very useful for my future life. I gained valuable experience about running entrepreneurship, developing communication skills, being able to solve problems on my own, the ability to lead myself, being cooperative and responsible. I therefore encourage Japanese Literature students to participate in this very beneficial program.
