Nisa Jenisya Successfully Won 2nd Place in the 3rd SAKURA Cup Japanese Speech Contest

Nervous and tense, that's how Nisa Jenisya, a 6th semester student of the Japanese Literature study program at Udayana University, felt while waiting for the announcement of the winner of the 3rd SAKURA Cup Japanese speech contest.

Initially, the competition held by the Bali-Japan Club was postponed for one month, so Nisa and two other students, Tobey Reva Adriano and Agung Anom, had more time to practice. The exercise was guided by lecturers of the Japanese Literature study program with support from other students.

Nisa admitted that she experienced many obstacles during her practice, which made her less confident. "The difficulty in (pronouncing) the correct hatsuon, I'm still tense and stammering (in the stage), also when the I still can't answer well the QnA session. Thank God in the end, I can answer well", she said.

With diligent practice, Nisa, Tobey, and Anom put out their best efforts and abilities when the competition was held on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Until finally Nisa won 2nd place in this competition. She admitted that she did not expect to won, as she said "Because I got the last turn, it feels super tense, especially since the participants before me performed well" while unable to contain her happiness.

Once again congratulations to Nisa Jenisya and thank you for your hard work dear Tobey Reva Adriano and Agung Anom! (nr)
