To increase knowledge about the MBKM Program, the Japanese Literature Student Association held a webinar entitled "Socialization and Sharing the Experience of MBKM Japanese Literature Study Program" on February 19, 2022, virtually through the Cisco Webex application.
This activity was attended by three outstanding and experienced speakers, namely, Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M.Hum. as presenters for MBKM, Julio Cancarito Mintarogo, and Ni Made Yunita Widya Kusuma, S.S. as resource persons who will share their experiences when participating in the MBKM Program.
Before opening the activity, the Head of Japanese Literature Study Program, I Made Budiana, SS., M.Hum, gave a speech to the resource persons who were willing to attend the MBKM webinar and to the students who were enthusiastic about participating in the activity.
This activity was followed by remarks and opening by the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Dr. Ni Ketut Ratna Erawati, M. Hum. In her speech, she explained that the MBKM Program is very beneficial for all Indonesian students, both State Universities and Private Universities to improve soft skills in themselves and groups from small to large levels even at the global level.
The head of UP3M and a lecturer in Japanese Literature, Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M.Hum. explain the MBKM Program in general. The MBKM program provides challenges and opportunities to hone skills, creativity, learn new things, collaborate, self-management, see problems in the field and improve social skills. She also explained the flow of how students can take part in the MBKM program and what things we can do in the Merdeka Learning program at the Merdeka Campus.
To provide further knowledge about the MBKM program, Julio, as the second resource person, shared his experiences about what activities he carried out in the “Program Bangkit”. The Program Bangkit is a collaborative program between the Ministry of Education and Culture and companies such as Google, Gojek, Tokopedia, and Traveloka.
In its implementation, Julio had the opportunity to learn new skills, and to hear various kinds of information from domestic and foreign sources. From the many activities that Julio went through, he also shared the results obtained from the MBKM program, including that Julio gained a lot of experience and useful knowledge, as well as soft skills certificates that could support him in participating in further activities.
It didn't stop there, outstanding alumni who successfully participated in the inaugural MBKM program in 2020 had the opportunity to share their experiences. Ni Made Yunita Widya Kusuma, S.S. share experiences about learning opportunities outside the Japanese Literature Study Program according to their interests. To support her interest, Yunita took classes at the Faculty of Tourism and the English Study Program. As an MBKM student, Yunita shared her experiences about the bitterness and sweetness of outdoor activities, considering the need for adaptation both from herself and students from the university she is going to.
After the socialization and sharing of experiences took place, it is hoped that Japanese Literature Study Program students can participate and prepare themselves to take part in the MBKM Program according to the interests and talents they want to develop. (ep)
