Stimulating Innovation through Master Teacher Intern in Sekolah Kak Seto

Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat, also known as MSIB Program, helped me to settle down for 5 months as a Master Teacher Intern at Kak Seto School. This program has sparked my interest in the field of education which takes place at Homeschooling Kak Seto (HSKS) Depok, focusing on character development, social skills, and academic aspects for students in non-formal schools with a learning method tailored to individual needs.

As a student, this program provides an opportunity to explore the working world through guided projects and assignments by a team and partner mentors. Besides the flight ticket allowance and living stipend, the internship also offers various training sessions for the interns.

In the role of Master Teacher Intern at HSKS Depok, I am personally responsible for designing an optimal learning experience for students, broadening insights into education, and honing teaching skills. The program content includes a deep understanding of Student-Centered Learning-based teaching, designing teaching strategies, and applying suitable media for learning.

The MSIB program offers a chance to understand the working world and the remote learning process. Throughout this internship, I gained deeper insights into student-focused teaching, creating adaptable teaching strategies, and implementing technological advancements in education. The most memorable experience was collaborating with colleagues from diverse educational backgrounds, designing unique learning experiences for students, and gaining valuable insights into the educational field.

This program not only imparts practical knowledge about the education sector but also nurtures interpersonal skills, management, and creativity in designing innovative curricula. Personally, this internship highlights the importance of continuous self-enrichment with new knowledge and skills, showcasing the impact of active engagement in teaching on the future of education, moving beyond Teacher-Centered Learning.

I strongly recommend the MSIB internship program over Studi Independen. During the internship, we receive material and training that can be directly applied and evaluated. Moreover, MSIB's network allows interns from diverse backgrounds across Indonesia to connect, fostering a community of varied educational and environmental experiences.

Hopefully, my experience in MSIB Batch 5 could bring you closer to MBKM Program.
