The 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program

My name is Yulia Afifah Andriani, a fourth-year student in the 7th semester of Japanese Literature at Udayana University. In this semester, I am attempting to enroll in the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program at Udayana University. The MBKM Entrepreneurship Program is an off-campus learning activity that focuses on entrepreneurship. I applied for it at the end of the 6th semester. It all began with researching information about the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program through social media and academic department information. Then, around July, when the registration opened, I confirmed it with my academic advisor, and it was approved. After that, I prepared the necessary application documents with the assistance of my sensei, academic advisors, and friends. I was thrilled to be accepted into the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program, as it provided me with the opportunity to learn outside the campus and broaden my knowledge.

During my participation in the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program at Udayana University, I engaged in various interesting activities. These activities were categorized into four segments: online lectures, internship, bootcamp, and expo. Starting with online lectures in August 2023, the sessions covered the fundamentals and basics of entrepreneurship. Numerous entrepreneurs with vast experience in their respective fields delivered the materials. Here, I gained knowledge about entrepreneurship that would undoubtedly be beneficial for my future in the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program. Following the online lectures, there was a one-month internship. I had the opportunity to intern at Kaori Group in Ubud, where I was involved in the incense division, learning about the entire process from production to effective product marketing. After the internship, we participated in a bootcamp. The 2nd cohort Entrepreneurship Bootcamp took place in Bedugul for 2 days and 1 night. I acquired fascinating insights from inspiring speakers, learning firsthand how to develop a proper Business Model Canvas (BMC) for a product. Finally, there was the expo, the concluding event of the 2nd cohort Entrepreneurship Program. During the expo, we introduced our product, "Sankyuu," a trendy jelly drink, to invited cool investors.

Regarding the product, my group was tasked with creating a final project for the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program. I belonged to Group 39 along with other Japanese Literature friends, including Gung Ratih, Jenny, Ditya, and Sukrawan. Through numerous discussions leading up to the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, we decided on creating a refreshing jelly-based drink named "Sankyuu" - a contemporary Jelly Drink. As the name suggests, our target audience was teenagers who are inclined towards viral or trendy products, hoping our product would be sought after by them. After about 2 months of learning, we successfully crafted a product suitable for the public's taste using milk and jelly with various flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, and blueberry. On the expo day, we brought around 30 "Sankyuu" products, and they sold out on the same day. We were delighted to see high demand for our product, even though investors were not interested; our marketing goal was achieved - capturing the attention of the millennial generation who appreciate what's viral or trendy.

I am extremely happy to have successfully completed the 2nd cohort of the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program with my friends. I gained many new and interesting experiences that I had not encountered in the Japanese Literature environment. This has undoubtedly expanded my knowledge about learning beyond the campus, specifically in entrepreneurship. Moreover, I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to intern at a company, an experience I had never had before. Thank you for the opportunity, sensei, and the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program. It has been a valuable experience. In conclusion, I can say that this was an enjoyable MBKM program, and I would highly recommend it to my friends who are interested in learning outside the campus through the MBKM Entrepreneurship Program.
