KAMI Studio: A Sustainable Innovation by Udayana University Students in the 2024 Batch 3 Wirausaha Merdeka Program
Hello, my name is Ni Nyoman Peni Silfian Dari. I am a participant of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, specifically the Wirausaha Merdeka (WMK) program at Udayana University. I am in my \ 7th semester. This program is part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka initiative which is designed to empower students to contribute significantly in entrepreneurship and become entrepreneurs.
The Wirausaha Merdeka (WMK) program is divided into three stages, namely Pre-Immersion, which is the initial stage that equips students with a strong foundation in creating creative and innovative ideas to become entrepreneurs. The next stage is the Immersion stage, where students are directly involved in the business world. I and my team from Udayana University were placed at Samsara Living Museum which is one of the partners of Udayana University. During our direct learning at Samsara Living Museum, I gained a lot of knowledge and experiences that were extraordinary. Previously, my team and I had produced products from waste paper, cardboard, cans, and coffee grounds, which are more sustainable. By creating a brand that upholds the theme and concept of recycled products that are sustainable, KAMI Studio was born.
The final result of this program is the Post-Immersion stage, namely conducting a demo day by exhibiting and presenting the products that KAMI Studio has created. The demo day activities were very successful with the presentation of products such as keychains, notebooks, and trinket dishes, all of which were made from waste paper, cardboard, and coffee grounds.
The Wirausaha Merdeka program at Udayana University has fostered a spirit of collaboration and innovation, enabling the products from KAMI Studio to have the potential to be marketed widely.
